About Faith
Faith Lea Pence is a classically trained soprano from Spearfish, South Dakota. She came to California in 2019 to pursue a Bachelor’s in Vocal Performance from The Master’s University, and continued on to receive her Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from Azusa Pacific University. Recently, Faith performed the lead character “Madame Goldentrill” in APU’s production of The
Impresario, and was a soloist for the Puccini anniversary concert at APU where she sang “Quando men vo” and “O mio babbino caro”. Additionally, in 2024 she performed the lead role, “Laetitia,” in APU’s production of The Old Maid and The Thief. Faith has also performed opera roles abroad with the Vienna Summer Music Festival and has performed countless partial roles for opera such as "Pamina" in Die Zauberflöte and "Cunégonde" in Candide. In addition to opera, Faith is regularly a soloist for concerts. In Spring 2024, she was the soprano soloist for The Master’s University’s performance of The Requiem in D Minor by Mozart. Faith also loves to share the joy of singing by teaching voice and hopes to inspire students in the same way her teachers have inspired her.
